The race begins and it's neck and neck all the way to the finish line. In a photo finish, it's Misty Blue who comes out on top! Mike can't believe it – his pony has won the big race!

"Thank you, Misty Blue", Mike whispers into his horse's ear. "You've made me a very happy man."

A new study has shown that horseback riding is great for your health! According to the study, published in the journal "Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism", horseback riding provides a vigorous aerobic workout, strengthens your core muscles, and helps improve your balance and coordination.

The study consisted of healthy adults who were randomly assigned to either a horseback-riding group or a control group. The horseback-riding group participated in a one-hour session three times per week for 12 weeks. The control group performed no physical activity.

At the end of the 12-week period, the researchers found that the horseback-riding group had significantly improved aerobic fitness, balance, and coordination. They also had increased muscle mass and strength in their abdominal muscles.

There are three classes: lead line, walk-trot, and equitation. The lead line class is for kids who are just starting out. They'll ride their pony with a lead line around the ring. In the walk-trot class, kids will ride their ponies at a walk and trot. And in the equitation class, riders will compete in an obstacle course designed to test their riding skills.
