The staff at the shelter were amazed at how friendly PONY was, considering she had just been abandoned. They did some research and found out that PONY was actually the star of a new children's book that was already a best-seller!

PONY is doing well at the shelter and is eagerly waiting to be adopted by a loving family. She loves playing with her toys and taking naps in the sun.

For example, you could work as an entertainer at one of the resorts or even become a tour guide. Or if you're feeling adventurous, you could join a team of divers who explore the ocean floor. The possibilities are endless!

In fact, Hawaii is the perfect place to become a mermaid. The waters here are crystal clear and filled with exotic fish and coral reefs. And the beaches are brilliant white sand and strewn with colorful shells. It really is paradise!

So if you're ever in Hawaii, make sure to stop by the beach and say "Aloha" to Pony – the newest mermaid on the block!

5. PONY made an appearance at a major city parade and stole everyone's hearts!

My daughter and I were out and about in our city enjoying the festivities of the annual parade. There were people of all ages, dressed up in all sorts of costumes, waving to the spectators as they marched by. It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

I happened to be looking around at all of the cute kids when I saw a little brown pony trotting down the street, led by a little girl who couldn't have been more than four years old. My daughter's eyes lit up and she said, "Mommy, can we please go see the pony?"

I must say that the pony was quite a sight to behold. He was so adorable with his big brown eyes and fuzzy mane and tail. The little girl walking him looked happy and proud. I'm sure she enjoyed all of the compliments from the bystanders.

It was really neat to see such a small child able to handle such a big animal. I'm not sure my daughter would have been able to do the same at that age. It just goes to show that ponies are gentle and lovely creatures that can put a smile on everyone's face.
